Kiplinger Fellowship in social media

Want to learn the latest digital reporting skills?

A digital revolution is changing the ways we gather and share information. In a busy newsroom, it can be tough to stay current and make sense of an altered landscape.

That’s why the Kiplinger Fellowship at Ohio State University teaches you innovative digital tools and approaches – all at no cost to you.

The 25 journalists selected for the fellowship will spend April 15-20, 2012, on the Ohio State campus in Columbus. They’ll be immersed in an intensive, hands-on week of training, focused on using social media to build a following, develop sources and cover their beats. We’ll talk Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, video, deep Web searches, public records and data journalism.

And there’s more — you also have the opportunity to nominate a supervisor or colleague to take part in our three-day condensed version of the training in May.

And thanks to the generous support of the Kiplinger Foundation, all of this will be free of charge — plus, we’ll give you a travel stipend and cover lodging and several meals.
