Winning WCSJ2017 bid to be announced soon

Greetings from the World Conference of Science Journalists 2015 in Seoul, Korea. On Monday, June 7, local time, volunteers from NASW and CASW presented a bid to host the next World Conference of Science Journalists in the fall of 2017 in San Francisco. We're excited about the possibility of bringing the World Conference to the US. Since 2007, we've funded several scholarships to attend each World Conference, and we want more US-based science writers to experience the camaraderie and collaborations created by meeting colleagues from across the globe. This year in Seoul, there are 47 countries represented.

The winning bid will be announced on Thursday, June 11, between noon and 2 p.m. local time (starting 11 p.m. Eastern, Wednesday, June 10 ). Watch #wcsj2017 for updates and follow along on the rich topics and experiences of the current conference via #wcsj2015. You can also read the bids here wfsj.org/news/news.php?id=467.
