Bartusiak, a visiting professor of writing at MIT Graduate Science Writing Program, describes how on Jan. 1, 1925, Edwin Hubble announced findings that ultimately established that our universe was a thousand trillion times larger than previously believed and filled with myriad galaxies like our own.
