Nothing is more central to the journalism craft than the interview, and getting good ones separates the pros from the poseurs. Errol Morris, one of the masters, talked to Harvard’s Graduate School of Design about his techniques and the Nieman Journalism Lab has a report. The Open Notebook meanwhile has posted an assortment of tips collected by Science’s David Grimm on preparing for interviews, taking notes, and working in the field.
