NASW 2005 Washington Conference

Information about the field trips, workshops, awards and other activities follows for those joining us in Washington, D.C.

Tuesday, February 15

Field Trips (both full)

    If you are registered for the Museums field trip, please meet at the Koshland Science Center promptly at 12:30PM. The Koshland is located at the corner of 6th and E Sts. (Closest Metro Stop: Judiciary Square). We will end the day by 6:00PM at the International Spy Museum in the same neighborhood.

    If you are registered for the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center Trip, Kimbra Cutlip (cutlipk@SI.EDU) will email you with the meeting place for transportation to Maryland.

Wednesday, February 16

Workshops

    If you are registered for the NASW Workshops, check in begins at 7:30 in the Cafritz Center. The Cafritz Center is on the third floor of the Marvin Center at 800 21st St, between H and I Streets. The building only says Marvin Center on the outside. It is a George Washington University student center and also contains a GWU bookstore.

    Your confirmation number is proof of registration. You must present photo ID and your current NASW membership card upon check-in.

Awards

    If you are registered for the Awards Program, check-in begins at 7:00 p.m. at the National Academies of Science building, which is a 10min walk from the Cafritz. Enter via 2100 C Street. The program begins promptly at 7:45. Please allow time to proceed through security.

    Your confirmation number is proof of registration. You must present photo ID or you cannot be admitted through security.

Other Opportunities

    Have a new book out? Send email to workshops@nasw.org if you are interested in displaying it at the members' literature tables. Books must have been written by a NASW member and published in the last 12 months. Books slated for publication within 3 months of the February meeting are also eligible.
