Welcome! Years ago I joined the fraternity of science writers, those fabulous creatures who provide running commentary on science and technology. I've interviewed molecular biologists, senators, Bill Gates, submariners, and the presidents of a zillion tech startups. I've hung out at biotech labs, stormbound research vessels, and a meeting on military space applications that was later declared classified (sorry, can't say where). I've trained reporters and editors. I've made spectacularly inaccurate predictions. And I've built newsletters, magazines and websites.

Currently I'm running public affairs at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. Previously, I was editor of MIT's technologyreview.com and an executive editor at PC World. My favorite topics are found in medical research and information technology (especially e-learning and collaboration). And I'm always on the lookout for challenging projects.
