Driving Michigan: Mile by Mile on I-75 (Arbutus Press, 2008) is for the hundreds of thousands of people who travel on Michigan's main freeway every week, and have ever wondered about what they see out their windows.
It describes everything from legends to geological points of interest; from the automobile industry to the wild days of the logging era; and from the heroic or otherwise famous people of Michigan to those who are less well-known but none-the-less intriguing, and in some cases notorious or just plain bizarre. As a traveler on I-75, you can simply follow along by looking up the milemarker or exit number you are currently passing and begin reading from there, or you can look up a specific topic in the index and flip right to those sections. In addition, you can challenge yourself and your family and friends with hundreds of fun "Brain Busters" questions to help the miles fly by. This unusual and now best-selling book will take you on a roadside journey through this state as you've never seen it before. Town by town, road by road, you will begin to see the true wonder that is Great Lakes State. Welcome to Michigan!
