The National Association of Science Writers’ inaugural Diversity Fellowship has been awarded to two fellows — Aneri Pattani, a recent graduate of the journalism program at Northeastern University in Boston, and Marissa Shieh, a student in NYU's Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program.

Congratulations to our 2016 AAAS Undergraduate Travel Fellows

Congratulations to this year's AAAS Undergraduate Travel Fellows. These undergraduate students, representing a diversity of educational institutions across the U.S. and Mexico, were selected by the Education Committee to attend this year's AAAS annual meeting February February 11-15, 2016 in Washington, DC. Each fellow will receive $1,000 to subsidize travel to the meeting and will participate in NASW's mentoring program and Internship Fair.

The National Association of Science Writers will again sponsor several exciting programs for student journalists during the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting. All activities require students to be members of NASW by Feb. 1. Online registration for the AAAS Newsroom will open tomorrow at http://meetings.aaas.org/press/ and continue until Jan. 22.

Student travel fellowships, Internship Fair and mentoring program at AAAS 2015

The National Association of Science Writers (NASW) will again sponsor several exciting programs for student journalists during the AAAS meeting.

2014 Lindau Fellows selected

Two NASW members have been selected for travel fellowships to attend the 64th Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany this summer. Congratulations to Claudia Caruana and Elizabeth Landau and special thanks to the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings for funding these fellowships for the seventh year. 2013 Laura Van Dam fellows selected

Congratulations to the recipients of this year's Laura Van Dam Travel Fellowships. Estrella Burgos, Dan Keller, Phil McKenna, and Eric Niiler will each receive $2,500 in travel support to attend the 8th World Conference of Science Journalists, June 24-28 in Helsinki, Finland.
