NOTICES FROM DIANE

Voting

Thank you for sending in your ballots on the constitutional amendment. Now that you are all in voting mode, don’t forget it’s time for NASW’s bi-annual elections. Ballots will be mailed Oct. 20th for members to select the next NASW Board. In order for your vote to be counted, your ballot must be returned to me by December 1. No hanging chads and no late postmarks accepted.

Workshops

NASW workshops for February’s meeting in Denver are announced in this issue of ScienceWriters (see page 24). You will also be notified via e-mail but there will be no other paper mailing. You must sign up online, so check out nasw.org for details and sign-up information.

Dues due

Dues have been increased to $75 for regular members, $25 for students; $80 for Canadian; and $85 for foreign members. Look for the dues bill in your mailbox after early December. To soften the blow, information about our Science-In-Society Awards Reception will be included in that mailing. The awards presentation and dinner will be Saturday evening, Feb. 15, in Denver, at the Colorado Historical Museum.
