CASW Names 8 Fellows for Travel to Seminar


The Council for the Advancement of Science Writing selected eight reporters from small US newspapers as traveling fellows to the 1996 New Horizons in Science seminar for science writers in Baltimore, MD. Each fellow receives travel reimbursement up to $1000. Selected were Cinda Becker, health writer, The Home News & Tribune, East Brunswick, NJ; Allan Brettman, The Daily News, Longview, WA; John Cutter, St. Petersburg Times, St. Petersburg, FL; Kristina Eddy, Valley News, Lebanon, NH; Robert L. Monroe, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Ontario, CA; L.E. Ohman, Iowa City Press-Citizen, IA; C.J. Cross (Roberts) Lancaster Eagle-Gazette, Lancaster, OH; and Wayne Partridge, The Augusta Chronicle, Augusta GA.
