Dues Deadline Long Gone

If you have not paid your 1999 dues, you will not be listed in the membership directory or receive a copy. In addition, you will be unsubscribed from the nasw-jobs mailing list, you will not have access to the members' section of the NASW Web page nor will you be able to make on line changes to nasw.org e-mail alias or personal Web page. And, finally, your nasw.org username will be deleted (e-mail will not be forwarded and personal Web page files will not be saved).

Membership Roster

The updated membership roster is being prepared for printing and is expected to be mailed in June.

Vote on Constitutional Reform

For the record, the vote on the proposed revision of the NASW Constitution was 195 YES and 16 NO.

Science-in-Society Award

Entries for the Science-in-Society Award must be postmarked by July 1, 1999.

Insurance Plans Available

A reminder that NASW members can take advantage of health, dental, disability, and other group insurance plans through John Hancock Unicare (not available to NY residents), available through Mass Marketing Insurance Consultants (800-349-1039). New Yorkers are eligible to participate in Support Services Alliance (800-836-4772). Aetna HMO (810-498-7000) is available through the Council of Writers Organizations (CWO). Also available through CWO is Pre-Paid Legal Services.
