TWELVE WRITERS NAMED 1996 MBL FELLOWS

Twelve science reporters are spending part of the summer as participants in the tenth annual Science Writing Fellowships Program of the Marine Biological Laboratory. Most of the group will be working with scientists at the Woods Hole, MA, institution, but Lisa Seachrist, a Bethesda, MD freelance, will be traveling to the north slope of Alaska's Brooks Range, and Kevin Krajick, of Newsweek, will go to northern Sweden. Both Seachrist and Krajick will spend two weeks working on site with MBL ecologists. Karen Fox of Science Report; Richard Lipkin, Science News; Ridgely Ochs, Newsday; Wallace Ravven, Oakland, CA, freelance; and Kathy Sawyer, Washington Post, accepted four-week fellowships at MBL, while Hands-On Laboratory Fellowships went to Leigh Fenly, San Diego Union-Tribune; Josie Glausiusz, Discover magazine; Kathleen McAuliffe, Coral Gables, FL, freelance; and Julie Titone, The Spokesman-Review.
