Correction

Victor Cohn has called our attention to a photo caption in the Fall 1996 issue which may have improperly implied that he and Earl Ubell were the sole "founders" of the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing. He enclosed a letter from John Troan that contained the following list of "incorporators" of CASW: Roland H. Berg, Look magazine; Victor Cohn, Minneapolis Tribune; Donald J. Dunham, Cleveland Press; Pierre C. Fraley, freelance, Phoenixville, PA; H. Jack Geiger, Newspaper Enterprise Association; Nathan S. Haseltine, Washington Post and Times-Herald; Hillier Kreighbaum, New York University; Martin Mann, Popular Science Monthly; John Troan, Scripps-Howard Newspaper Alliance; and Earl Ubell, New York Herald Tribune. Later, the first board of directors was formed, including some of the above and additional members from the science and engineering community.
