NASW Elections

The new NASW Board consists of Richard Harris, National Public Radio, president; Joseph Palca, National Public Radio, vice president; Mary Knudson, freelance, secretary; Paul Raeburn, Business Week, treasurer. Members-at-large are Sandy Blakeslee, Deborah Blum, Rick Borchelt, Shannon Brownlee, Bob Cooke, Ira Flatow, Catherine Foster, Lynne Timpani Friedmann, Earle Holland, Joel Shurkin, and Laura Van Dam.

'Communicating Science News' Now Available on the Web

Dennis Meredith, author of Communicating Science News, has now produced a web version that is available on the NASW website or directly at http://www.nasw.org/csn/

Prices for the print version has been pegged at $5 per copy for NASW members and $8 for nonmembers. Discounts are available on bulk orders. Copies can be ordered from Diane McGurgan, Administrative Secretary, NASW, P.O. Box 294, Greenlawn, NY 11740/phone: 516-757-5664/fax: 516-757-0069.

NASW members are invited to call or e-mail Meredith for a supply of flyers to take to scientific meeting, especially medical meetings, where scientists and
