Letter
I want to thank the following folks for enormous contributions to the
success of the workshops at the recent annual meeting in Philadelphia:
- Carol Morton, who worked with me in planning everything and was instrumental
in coordinating the physical arrangements, including the Wednesday workshop
at the Academy of Natural Sciences
- Jane Stevens, who put together the hugely successful Wednesday section
- Kathryn Brown, freelancer, who organized three great workshops for
freelancers even though she knew she would be having her baby at the time
of the meeting
- Seema Kumar and Cheryl Greenhouse who organized the PIO workshops on
Friday and drew rave reviews from everyone who attended
- Of course, Diane McGurgan, who handled all the administrative chores
with incredible good humor. She helps make this whole thing fun to do.
- And also a special thanks to Ellen Cooper of AAAS for all her support
and her special efforts in helping us switch rooms when Clinton changed
his mind and decided to speak on Friday...
