Two NASW Members Receive Awards from MS Society


Freelance writer Steve Eisenberg and Ruth SoRelle, medical writer for the Houston Chronicle, were honored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on February 23 with its Public Education Awards for their contributions to public understanding of the disease. Eisenberg tied for first place in the “lifestyle” category for his article “A Royal Success,” a profile of a postdoctoral fellow who has MS and the research he is conducting into genetics and cell death. The article appeared in Rutgers Magazine. SoRelle won in the medical category for an article in the Chronicle, “Brighter future for MS treatment: New drugs may offer more options for battle against MS.”
