NASW Science in Society
October 19-20, 2007
The Davenport Hotel
Spokane, WA
Join us in the serene beauty of the Pacific Northwest to trade tips with your fellow science writers, network with editors, and benefit from an exciting slate of professional seminars organized by your fellow members. Sessions will take place at the Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane, recently named one of the top 10 hotels in the United States by Expedia.
For those arriving early, board member Tom Paulson, of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, has arranged a special Friday field trip to "The World's Only Grizzly Bear Lab." Robin Marantz Henig has masterminded the return of the Science Cabaret for our entertainment on Friday evening.
Again this year, NASW members will be able to take advantage of the prestigious New Horizons in Science Briefings to explore the frontiers of science news. New Horizons is hosted by the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing.
— Mariette DiChristina
