And the winner is...

It's official! The World Conference of Science Journalists is coming to San Francisco in the fall of 2017. Congratulations and a huge thank you to all the volunteers from the National Association of Science Writers, the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing, our hosts at UCSF and UC Berkeley and everyone else who worked so hard on this bid.

A special thank you to our friends and colleagues from around the globe here at WCSJ2015 in Korea, especially our colleagues and keen competitors from the Danish Science Journalists' Association. Bringing the world to San Francisco is going to be a large, community effort, bringing together volunteers from the US and abroad, our colleagues at other US journalism organizations, and supporters at organizations that value science writing and science in the US and worldwide. We hope to see everyone in California in 2017!
