The National Association of Science Writers (NASW) and the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing (CASW) are pleased to announce that the ScienceWriters2026 conference will be hosted in partnership with Oregon State University in Corvallis next fall. Dates will be announced in early 2026.
Held annually, the ScienceWriters conferences provide a gathering place for professionals and students working across the science news and communications landscape. From journalists to institutional science writers, from editors to producers, from seasoned science communicators to those just starting their careers, the events provide opportunities for every attendee: skills development, professional networking, and discussions on pressing scientific topics. #SciWri26 will continue this tradition with craft and career workshops organized by NASW members; New Horizons in Science briefings curated by CASW; and receptions, interactive tours, and field trip hosted by Oregon State University with a focus on marine and climate science, clean energy, AI and robotics, forestry, food and agriculture, and more.
