Longtime ScienceWriters editor Lynne Friedmann announces her last issue

Lynne Friedmann

When Lynne Friedmann took on the contract to edit and produce ScienceWriters 30 years ago, this essential member-outreach tool was a small manila-colored newsletter with an even smaller budget. Thirty years later she's grown the publication to a full-color, quarterly magazine that provides timely and timeless content for NASW members and brings in ad revenue to the organization. A master of many roles, Lynne manages the production of each issue from start to finish, working with vendors and volunteer contributors with warmth and aplomb. Recently, our fearless editor let us know the time has come to pursue her own book project. In true Lynne style, she's been gracious enough to give us plenty of notice and offered to mentor the next editor to ease the transition. Lynne's last issue will be the Winter 2018-19 issue, leaving us lots of time for proper celebrations. Later this year, we will be announcing a search to fill these organized and thoughtful shoes. In the meantime, stay tuned to nasw.org for more information and send your shout-outs to editor@nasw.org.
