The National Association of Science Writers extends its condolences to our colleagues at the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ) on the recent and sudden passing of science journalist Mohammed Yahia, the organization’s immediate past president. Yahia was elected as WFSJ president at the 10th World Conference of Science Journalists hosted by NASW and CASW in 2017 in San Francisco. He was also an instrumental part of organizing WCSJ 2011 in Qatar and formerly served as vice president of the Arab Science Journalists Association, an organization that he helped found. Our thoughts are with Yahia’s family and global community of colleagues.
