Thanks to gifts from NASW members and other conference attendees supplementing the annual Community Support Grant program, 11 grantees received financial support to attend this year's ScienceWriters2025 national conference. Two are recipients of theIndigenous Community Support Grant, supported this year by a generous grant from EurekAlert!

All conference fellows receive complimentary meeting registration, and eligible individuals also receive a complimentary professional, student, or affiliate membership to NASW for the coming year. We deeply appreciate the support from EurekAlert! and the community that makes this possible.

More than 230 applications were received for the fellowships this year. The volunteer judging team of Alla Katsnelson, Amanda Heidt, Ariana Remmel, Saugat Bolakhe, Elliot Richman, Jyoti Madhusoodanan, Katie Mast, Kelly Tyrrell, Marla Broadfoot, Marilynn Marchione, Priyanka Runwal, Rodrigo Pérez Ortega, Shraddha Chakradhar, and Sandeep Ravindran gave generously of their time to ensure each submission was read by multiple reviewers.

ScienceWriters is the largest U.S. convening for journalists, authors, editors, producers, institutional communicators, students, and people who write and produce material intended to inform the public about science, health, engineering, and technology. The conference attracts 600-800 attendees from North America and beyond. The conference is a co-production of the National Association of Science Writers (NASW) and the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing (CASW) with the support of sponsors, donors, and volunteers.

It is a meeting for science writers, by science writers.
