In 2019, Wudan Yan and Jenni Gritters planted an idea for a new podcast to help writers and editors navigate the trickiest parts of running a freelance business. Growing their idea would require lots of sunshine, copious water, and a green thumb for audio production that neither of them had. Fortunately, about a month after coming up with the idea, Yan saw a call for applications for NASW’s Peggy Girshman Idea Grant program.
